AlmaLinux OS Foundation Infrastructure Team Lead To Speak at DevOpsDays 2026

From 9:10 to 9:55 a.m. on Thursday, September 10, Wright is scheduled to participate in the “New Linuxes Panel” alongside leads from Microsoft Linux, Talos Linux and Bluefin/GNOME OS. More than three decades after the first Linux distribution was created, hundreds of distributions remain actively maintained, with new distributions continuing to emerge to address evolving technical challenges, use cases and user needs. During the discussion, panelists are set to share the purpose behind their respective distributions, the problems they aim to solve and how their approaches differ. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about how different distributions are designed to meet the needs of different users and organizations.
Jonathan Wright is the Infrastructure Team Lead for the AlmaLinux OS Foundation and a member of the AlmaLinux Engineering Steering Committee (ALESCo). He brings more than 15 years of experience building infrastructure in the web hosting industry and has been actively involved in open source communities, including AlmaLinux, Fedora and EPEL.
