DALLAS, TX, UNITED STATES, September 2, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- SPS ARS, LLC d/b/a Spatial Persistent Software, today announced the appointment of Brandon Smith as Vice President of Strategy for UNIFY.C2. Smith will guide the company’s strategy for expanding the airspace awareness and counter-unmanned aircraft systems platform across government markets.

Smith will focus initially on Department of Defense programs and partnerships that support the integration of new technologies into operational environments. He will also work with customers to identify mission requirements that can inform product development.

Smith has more than 15 years of experience in aerospace engineering, defense programs and corporate management. He most recently served as interim chief executive officer and managing director of RapidFlight, where he was responsible for corporate strategy and business development. He also supported the company’s transition following its acquisition by AEVEX Aerospace in 2025.

Before joining RapidFlight, Smith spent nearly 10 years with Naval Air Systems Command, commonly known as NAVAIR. He held engineering and program leadership positions supporting naval aviation programs, including service as chief engineer for the F/A-18A-D aircraft platform and as its airworthiness authority.

His NAVAIR work included the integration of active electronically scanned array radar and navigation technology for environments where Global Positioning System signals are unavailable or unreliable. He also supported aircraft communications and weapons integration programs.
